Traveling to India as a Pakistani

Please send me some advise, How to
Get a tourist visa in Pakistan?
What to expect in India (as a Pakistani, Police registration etc.)?
Can I travel on my own vehicle?

Im a British citizen of Pakistani origin, living in UK. I want to go to Goa and have visited the Indian embassy 3 times for the visa!!! my partner and my daughter (both British) have been granted the visas. They have asked me for a letter of employment, my pakistani passport and a letter of invitation from India (which I cant provide as I dont know anyone there). I am thinking of applying through an agency and let them do all the work as I dont think I have the patience to queue up again with a 3 month old baby. I almost gave up the idea for a holiday in India but I am giving it another try.

Are you in Pakistan? I have heard of a lot of people going to India from Pakistan, I dont think there should be any problem but you must check around. You never know with the political situation. I know that there are certain cities that you have to report on arrival and departure. Do let me know if any luck.

Thanks for your input. I recently came to Pakistan from the US. I have quite similar situation, my wife and my three year old daughter both have US citizenship and I have a Pakistani passport. I always wanted to visit India but the information I have gotten so far is pretty sad. The regulations for the citizens of India and Pakistan traveling to each other's country are really strange. I have heard that you can only visit three cities and you have to register with local police as soon as you get to that town. I am still looking for someone who has gone through the process because you can not find good info from the Indian embassey or the Pakistani tourism folks. I want to go there in March, Hopefully.
