Does anyone know where I can get the loi/agency registration at fairly short notice?

Basically my agency screwed up by not renewing agency registration in time so it won't be ready until 20th July and I fly on 31st.

Any advice much appreciated

Hi Torotaxi.
I am heading to pakistan soon aswell, just about to start the application process. I have heard that the trek agency http://losthorizontreks.com issue letters of invitation.

If you are not a customer of theirs they will charge you but might be worth contacting them.

Also what do you mean about an agency registration?

Agreed with ScottGoEast that Lost Horizon (Mr Abdul Bari) based in Gilgit 'll arrange you the LOI within short notice,it ll cost you additional 50$ per person even if you re their client.

Got my LOI and Agency Registration certificate this morning - as soon as i'd paid by paypal.

You just need passport number, name, name of Pakistan Embassy, start and end dates.

Tour Agency Registration is just a government issued certificate for the tour agency. Not all countries ask for this, ie Asian countries, but they do in the UK. I got a Pak visa in Bangkok a few years ago and I didn't need this - but the guy in the consulate was really unreasonable and they nearly tried to get me a PIA airticket.

We used Kamal at Snowland Treks and Tours (http://www.snowland.com.pk/) who charged $40 for a letter of invitation. The whole thing was extremely easy and fast and I would definitely recommend them.

Both Lost Horizons and Snowland Treks & Tours offer the loi services.

I got the visa in 5 working days in London. Unfortunately it has cost me $270US as I had to buy the expensive LOI from Lost Horizons ($75US) but at least I have it now! Travelling to Pakistan is an expensive business...

This means Lost Horizon has raised up its fee for LOI,it used to be 50$ few months back,anyways wish you all the best for your trip.

To get the visa in the UK you have to go through Gerry's visa service who charge £40 on top of the £100 for the visa for UK nationals. How come it's so expensive when for Nepal it's $50 for a month and $100 for 3 months?
