Nepal Lodge Availablility in November

We will be trekking in Nepal in November and are likely to do the Jomson trek. After reading the discussions here I feel we could probably do it alone (there are two of us), but I am curious about how difficult it is to get accomodation in the teahouses in November. In the LP book that I have it says that it can be hard as November is a very popular time. Although the teahouse will usually find a place for you, it might be on the floor or something. One of us has a little higher standards so I'm wondering if we should book with a company so that we know for sure we'll have a place - a bed that is. I would appreciate any advice you can give.

One more question - do the teahouses have bedding or should we have sleeping bags with us?

There will be no problem to find adequate teahouse room even in november.
You should stop walking not too late and look for accomodation in time. So you have good rest and can start early in the morning.

As phac stated you will not have a problem finding lodging. Do not wait too long in the afternoon before finding lodging though. Around 3-4 pm is a good time. So start walking early (we woke up at 5:30 am and started walking at 6:30).

Bring a sleeping bag. Since you are only doing the Jomsom trek you will not need a very expensive down bag. A simple bag will do. Temperatures are quite hot or moderate. Though, be prepared to have low temperatures at night (my guess not lower than 5 celsius up to Jomsom).

Also, when flying back from Jomsom, no need to reserve tickets in advance. Just go to a local ticket shop in Jomsom. Worse case you might have to wait 2 days for a flight with a seat free. If time is the essence, do make a reservation. We flew with Cosmic Air which was nice but had a 3 hr delay. The other company supposedly is better. (forgot the name). RNAC (Royal Nepal) also are known for delays (RNAC = Royal Nepal Always Cancelled in popular trekker-language ;)).
