Nepal in September

Hi

I am travelling to Nepal for a month from late September to late October.
I am planning to do some light treking (no more than 5 days at a time) and general travelling around though I have no itinary as yet (planning to work it out when I arrive).

Firstly, are malaria tablets necessary?

Secondly, what items are essential for me to bring with? ( ie. will i need things like a sleeping bag and a coat?)

Any advice will be gratefully received.

No – you shouldn’t need malaria preventatives when visiting Nepal – There is a slight risk if you visit the Teri but I have been to Nepal 6 times and visited the Teri on 5 of those and had No problems with malaria !!
With what to bring -=- I would say just bring what you have, you can either buy or hire the rest in Kathmandu or Pokhara at very reasonable costs once you are there
