I stayed in Isaacs Residency which is on the edge of the town. Very comfortable , about Rs2300 per night per room including taxes and breakfast (we would have gone to a cheaper place but friends with us wanted more comfort). Look up www.isaacresidency.com We turned up in Munnar and had a look around - there are plenty of people there who will advise you. There are plenty of good homestay places and another new hotel - The Mermaid. Right in the town centre is Munnar Inn which is smart and a double deluxe room is Rs1200 plus taxes per night - www.munnarinn.com.
