Kashmir - Srinagar to Sonamarg, end March

Hi all! I'm asking around this side, but anyone know if the road to Sonamarg from Srinagar is open/clear? I've got three and a bit days at the end of March to play with and am trying to see if a brief hilly escape from Delhi is possible.

last time i was in the region the road conditions were unpredictable. Frankly i don't really know, but i can advise regarding a backup plan, just in case this doesn't work- you can take the bus to pehelgam. you might have to change buses in anatnag. the advantage of pehelgam is that if the weather is bad, you can just walk around town, which is in itself beautiful.

1 hour flight to Dehradun https://www.lonelyplanet.com/india/uttarakhand-uttaranchal/rishikesh

1.5 hour flight to Dharamasala https://www.lonelyplanet.com/india/himachal-pradesh/mcleod-ganj

I'd love that but looking for something Kashmir-specific for a wider project - hoping the road will be clear all the way to Leh in a week or so but I think I'm being optimistic... thanks though!
