Have any foreigners been up the Karakoram Highway from Islamabad since the attacks at the end of June?
I came with 5 french friends (last Sunday) from Islamabad to Hunza, many other foreign traveling making their way on every day basis on KKH without any security problem after the attack. KKH is open for foreigners all the way from Islamabad/Rwalpindi to Khunjerab pass (Pak-China border). | 1

Hi all, I am heading to PAkistan.. According to some diplomatic sources in Islamabad, the KKH is still closed in the region of Chilas because this area has become "restricted to foreigners" for security reasons" while K2_heights said the contrary. Hope you are right , K2_heights because I want to travel through the KKH. Cheers, | 3

Last week, I traveled the KKH from Skardu to Islamabad. As reported by K2, it was open and there was no issues along the way. There were many check points and foreigners had to register their passport number and Visa number in a book. An armed policeman rode in our private mini bus about 50 - 75 kms each side of Chilas. We exchanged policman about every hour. | 5
