day 1: reaching KTM | ||
It is certainly possible as the distances are no all that long, but you are highly likely to get AMS either at MBC or at ABC at the latest. Common wisdom recommends having one more night stop at Deurali, few hours before MBC. I know those days before and after Deurali would be just 2-3 hours, but it is the altitude which causes AMS. Down you can run as fast a comfortably possible. With the road now near Ghandruk and also Landruk it should be possible for a fit and determined person to get from ABC to Pokhara in two days. | 1
thanks for ur reply. actually my partner wants to watch the sunrise at ABC. that's why I was planning to start trekking from ghandruk base. | 2
Transport to Gandruk stops in Kimche, about 1-2 hrs walk below Gandruk. If trying to get to ABC as short as possible, take transport to SIWAI, then walk via Beehive (lodges), New Bridge (lodges) and Jinhu Danda (lodges) to Chomrong. You might be able to make it to Jinhu Danda on first day. To be safe, you need to add a night before MBC - - probably Deurali. To "save" a day (if running short of time), get up early at MBC for 2 hour walk (with headlamp) up to ABC for sunrise, then walk down (pick up packs at MBC) as far as you can (likely below Deurali). | 3

How about; It would be doable but I doubt it would be enjoyable. | 6
