My 6 month tourist visa in India is due to expire a few weeks before I wish to leave the country, even though I will have only been in India for 2 months. I have heard that its pretty much impossible to get an extension in India itself, but maybe I can go to Nepal (as I have planned anyway) to be issued with a new 6 month Indian tourist visa???
Can anyone please shed some light with respect to this scenario? Is it no problem to be reissued another visa, how long it may take, any hassles etc etc. Any helpful info from people who have been in the same situation (or have heard about it) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
