Indian Visa

Hi I am English but currently living in Turkey.

I would like to visit India, has anyone got any advice on getting an Indian six month tourist Visa from within Turkey?

Do I need to go to Ankara or Istanbul, or will i need to return to the UK to get the visa.

I'd prefer to fly from Istanbul to India as opposed to flying 4hrs back to UK, then having a longer flight, so woul be great if I could get a visa from Turkey.
