Help?! Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, Dambulla?Country forums / Indian Subcontinent / Sri Lanka
Hi everyone, Just a few days left before we leave to Sri Lanka, so excited :)! Thanks for your help!
yeah you can do.but only one of them...I'll tell Polonnaruwa is better than Anuradhapura due to your time limit. Start from Kandy to Sigiriya (2.5 hours). try to go there atleast 9 am latest . So you can climb the rock before it get hot. within 2.5-3 hours you can finish go up and down(depend on the crowd). after that go Polonnaruwa ancient city ( 55Km - 70mins). just before enter the ancient city rent a bicycle from out site.. it will make you easy in side the ancient city. try to leave Polonnaruwa atleast 4(latest) .from there 68km (1.5 hours) to Dambulla cave temple. Make sure go dambulla as your last attraction. also it is in Kandy -Dambulla road.. if you want go Kandy- sigiriya-polonnaruwa-dambulla- kandy make sure leave kandy early as possible. around 6 am will be better for this. Also make sure don't spend lot of time when you having breakfast and lunch. other wise you will rush when you are at the attractions. And more than every thing you have to go in a car with driver. if you travel in public trasport it will not doable. hope it helps.. for any more details just put a comment.ill help you :) raja | 1
you also asked what are the best palces to go. In sigiriya climb sigiriya rock.. in there you can ride an elephant wil not take more that 30 mins. dambulla - dambulla cave temple and the big statue | 2

I cam imagine how you will feel the weather. you have such great itineray. are you already booked your hotels??? if not more than stay 4 nights in Unawatuna and hikkaduwa try to add some nights in Mirissa atleast. u can see whale watching from there.. also it is a must see beach in sri lanka..but if you already booked your hotel and if you using public trasport in mirissa and hikkaduwa rent a scooter to go a day trip to mirissa. xx | 7
Yes I already booked all the hotels but we are going to Mirissa for a daytrip indeed. Is Mirissa much better als Unawatuna or Hikkaduwa? I read so many different things that I didnt know which one to choose anymore haha. Have a great weekend Raja! | 8
