I am looking for a reasonably good hotel in the 1500 Rupee range in Rajkot, Junagadh and Diu. I would prefer a Heritage Hotel or ahotel with character if possible with an attached bathroom. Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

At junagadh u have the national hotel. Or you could try out the dreary looking govt. 'Toran' hotel nr. majewadi darwaja. Its actually pretty ok inside with massive bathrooms and very spacious rooms with lovely balconies.
Rajkot is another crowded town with nothing to do. No heritage property here. At Rs. 1500 u could get a place at the Galaxy hotel. For a heritage property u would have to head north to wankaner..about 60 km north of rajkot. Or 35 km south to Gondal. The Orchard or riverside palace offers rooms for Rs.1500 onwards. This might suit you if you are heading towards junagadh and Diu. Gondal to junagadh is about 40 km. And junagadh to diu is 170 km. And they all lie more or less on the same hyway.
