Anyone been for an Indian visa this month? How long are the queues?
Has any non NRI obtained the new 5 year tourist visa said to be available?

Supposedly easier these days. Arrive an hour or so before opening and line up with prefilled forms..

I arrived at 08:00 in London (Goswell Rd) theoretically with 09:30 appointment today. Also had passports for co-travellers whose appointment in theory was 13:30 tomorrow.
The appointment system is nonsense. Its just VFS way of evening out arrivals. Nobody is interested in your appointment time - in reality its first come first served with a numbered ticket system on entry like tescos deli counter.
I was out by 09:15 with all passports submitted.
