Galle or Hikkaduwa Bech

We are Mum, Dad and 2 adult sons. After 10 days around hillsides then Udawalawe and Yala, we only have time for 3 days Galle or Hikkaduwa Beach. Not both. Some thoughts please on what would be better/nicer for late Feb. I'm hearing we shouldn't miss Galle, but would like some beach time. Is the beach in Galle nice? Thank you.
