Cultural Triangle

I would like to ask some questions about arranging my itinerary in the Cultural Triangle.

I will be visiting Kandy on February 20 and going to Nuwarya Elia on February 24. So that leaves me with three days in between to explore the Cultural Triangle (February 21, 22, 23).

I would ideally like to visit Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, Dambulla cave, and Polonnaruwa, and would like advice on how to arrange this within those three days.

My current plan is to hire a car, to save time, to go from Kandy to Anuradhapura on February 21 and stay in Anuradhapura overnight.

Then take the bus from Anuradhapura to Sigiriya on February 22, stopping at Dambulla along the way (not sure what to do with my luggage!) Then visiting Polonnaruwa by bus on February 23. I plan to base myself at a hotel in Sigiriya on February 22 and 23.

Can anyone advise on whether the sequencing and transport makes sense? Many thanks
