Christmas in Sri Lanka

Due to a very last minute change of plans, I'm now spending xmas in Sri Lanka.

I'll be in Galle on the 23rd

Anybody have any thoughts about a good place to be for Christmas and what there is to do?

Christmas celebrations will not be all that great in galle, however most major hotels will have plenty of activity. All the Colombo 5 stars will have the regular christmas lunch, brunch, dinner and other party type activities if you can get there.

if you do stay in Galle Unawatuna is a good place for an evening out.

I'll be hanging out at the beach in Unawatuna over Xmas... friend who lives out there tells me it's a fun place to be with plenty going on but also chilled. give me a shout if you're heading down that way... I'm arriving morning of Xmas day

I'll also be in Unawatuna over Christmas, I think there will be plenty of people around for a beach day...

If you want to go to church there are also a few that will have services. A couple in the fort and some outside near the bus station....
