I read many posts here and also the LP guide, but I wish to check if there are advances.... is it reasonably possible to buy an Indian SIM to be used in a blackberry for data retrieval and for local calls?

Is anybody really aware of whatsapp cost: it seems it is one of the best kept secret (or at least blurry)?

If you can get one, consider it reasonably priced.

Hi,

Getting sim in indian sim is not a difficult task. Blackberry services are paid for Curve 8250 and 9220. For rest of the device its come with normal data usage package. Airtel and Vodaphone wil be the best option for you.

You can expect 1 gb 3G data Usage for average Rs150. Which is an good deal for travelers.

@mohitsnggg - I browsed Airtel web site but it appears out of each for non-Indians.Will have a look at Vodaphone.

Easy - Airtel has a booth at Delhi airport. You need a copy of your passport - but most places will do this for you.

@lichinga

All the prior Service Provider have customer care centre at Most of the Airport. No need to worry , you can easily get sim w.r.t your Passport.

I'm afraid that landing in Bangalore at 2am will make things a little bit more unlikely :(

There are supposed to be booths - unsure if they are open. Might well be though.
