Barisal to Ghittagong

Has anyone taken this boat trip recently and/or stopped off at one of the islands, Hatiya or Sandwip?
I am assuming there is a daily boat to somewhere from Hatiya, is this accurate? Are there any hotels on the islands?

no there is no hotel in Sandeep for travelers..& its in chittagong..if u prefer Hatiya u have to go from Noakhali district..& u can reach Nijhum Dip island a beautiful place..but a remote area..& u can find boat from Sitakundo for sandweep Island & i guess from Hatiya also..:D
