Bangladesh by car

Hi everyone. We are planning to enter Bangladesh from India by car (registered in EU). I have heard that last year a deposit was required at the border for the car? We will have a carnet, but I've read even cars with carnets were not allowed to enter Bangladesh without this deposit.

Is this still the case? Or has the deposit requirement been lifted since?
