A friend of mine just returned from the North where she said she saw an American lady that taught as a guru in a small Ashram (beautifull setting she told me) along the Ganga in Laksman Jhula. She (my friend) seems really positive about her experience and keeps talking about jaunting back up there to see more of her before she leaves for the summer. I am just a little worried though.

Has anyone else ever seen this lady (the guru). My friend said there were lots of westerners coming and going at her lectures, some were tourists but most were lifelong devotees. I'd like to know what you thought of her and the scene there as honestly as possible. I'd like to get some idea about this without making the long trip up north.

thanks!
