Hi folks
The last part of my trip to SL it is gonna be Kandy area. From there I will be heading towards airport from where I am flying home early morning. Therefore I think it is a good idea to find accommodation for the last night possibly close to the airport just to get there within several minuts and avoid stress.
Do you know something reasonable???

Hello, I would be grateful if someone would mind giving me an overview of costs in Sri Lanka. Not even so much an overview, but just a few words on how it compares to India in terms of costs. One may find a place to stay in India for as little as 2 USD a day, 5 USD very comfortable; food a quarter to a half a dollar US and up, internet half a dollar for an hour, bus or train rides anywhere from a dollar US to 20 depending on class and distance; and so on.

We are considering a trip to Sri Lanka in March for 4 weeks with our 2year old. We are seasoned travellers in Asia and India, first time to SL though. Any recommendations on where to start and suggestions of kid friendly places to visit or stay. We would ideally enjoy a few weeks on a quiet beach, and a few weeks in the hills. We are going to be arriving in Sri Lanka at the end of December and planning to stay in Negombo for the first couple of nights before heading to Kandy.

Wondering how feasible it would be to leave Negombo in the morning, travel to Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage and spend some time there, before travelling on to Kandy later in the day.

Is this doable in a day? If we got a driver to take us on this route and drop us off in Kandy then roughly how much would it cost us?

Me and my girlfriend are going to Sri Lanka at the end of december and where wondering if anybody knows the best places for paragliding and kite surfing for that time of the year?
Are there any good schools or centers in the southern area or maby somebody knows a reliable driver who knows different launches, safe landing fields and good kite surfing spots?
