Hi, I am pretty excited to be doing a motorcycle trip around Sri Lanka next month. I have an itinerary question. My plan is to drive from Kandy to Ella, overnight in Ella, explore around Ella the next day before driving to Udawalawe for the night.

My question is: is the area around Ella good for motorcycling? I don't plan on doing much hiking. If it is a great area for the bike, then I may spend an extra day. If not, then I will head to Uda for the night to do a safari the next day.

Hi. We (family of 4 with 2x young children) will be travelling from Sri Lanka to India in May '18. Is air the only option or is the ferry expected to be running by then? We want to stay flexible with our plans so am hesitant to book flights now. Any advice gratefully received.

We got all excited and booked a trip to Srilanka based on what the operator was offering us. Now we are a bit concerned if this would be suitable for a family travelling with an infant.

we are 4 adults, 2 children and an infant.

Itenary.

Day 1 ., Travel from Colombo to kandy. Spending time at Pinnawala Elephant orphanage on the way, visit sacred temple of tooth. Kandian dance show in the evening. Stay at Heaven Seven Hotel .

I'll be travelling with my wife and two children (5yo and 1yo).
Which is you suggestion about a beach in the south to spend 1 or 2 days with a baby.
I'm not looking anything as a resort or too much organized.
For us it's enough avoiding windy beaches, shallow waters, clean water and guesthouses/restaurants nearby (not in the middle of nothing)

How long do you suggest to see the sights in SL and experience the country? We spent 9 weeks seeing Peru and 9 weeks seeing the northern 2/3 of Argentina. What do you suggest for SL? how many weeks?

So I’m going to Sri Lanka on the 11th I may be there as long as six months so I don’t know when I’ll leave. The cheapest flights out will cost me me 80-180+.

Does anyone know a way around this, a much cheaper option for proof of departure from Sri Lanka or an airline in Asia with a 24 hour full refund cancelation policy?
