Bumblestead ,retired and spent his final years in a manor outside Kandy (a brilliant retirement locale for an eccentric confectioner!). This fella claims to have found it, and although its not a museum as such you can get a tour of the manor of properly arranged

I'll be in SL in February, with around 6 days for exploring Kandy, Ella and tea country and a side trip to Horton Plains. Is it easiest to stay in one town and take day trips, or should I spend a couple days each in Kandy, Ella and Nuwara Eliya?

Hello - please can comeone help me with my travel
1) Bus from Ella to Thanamalwila then Tuk tuk to Uda Walawe national park - I cannot seem to find timetable for buses anywhere online or any idea of when they are of if it is possible
2) next day going from Uda Walawe national park to Unawatuna - bus to Eblipitiya? again can't see timetable anywhere

3) If not is there a cheapish driver or taxi to book this with or best to wait until I get to Ella?

Its quiet a drive and if i am not wrong taking a taxi from airport will be tad bit expensive as well, however i understand the island is well connected by Rail. So can someone please throw in your experience on this topic.

I am traveling to Ella from Kandy and I have a few questions if anyone is able to help at all?

I'm desperately trying to book an observation seat on a train from Kandy to Ella but am struggling to find a website/tour agent who I can do this through (i'm not even sure if this is possible!).

My family is interested in spending 5 weeks in Sri Lanka in late Feb. and March. What are the mosquitoes like this time of year. I am concerned about dengue fever and other mosquito illnesses. I know it was a huge issue this year! Is this time of year fairly free of these buggers? I also have severe reactions to bites and if Mosquitoes are prevalent year round perhaps a different country to travel. But Sri Lanka looks amazing! HELP with understanding bugs this time of year. Hi, I am traveling to Sri Lanka in the end of February for a surf camp. I arrive in Colombo Friday night, and have to be at the surf camp in Ahangama on Monday. I am trying to figure out what to do and where to go from Friday night until Monday morning. Any suggestions?

Hi all. Wonder if we could use your grey matter on this itinerary in February. I've put this together to include all of the things that we want to see and do. The one thing we need to know (there is three of us travelling!) is can we get transport between each destination - bus, train, mini bus? This also includes getting from the airport mid afternoon on arrival to Kalpitya.
