I am travelling to Sri Lanka over Christamas and the New Year ,
gonna spend some time in Unawatuna and was wondering if the Banana Garden was still there ?
I last was there pre Tsunami (3 days to be exact) and am having trouble finding them.
Any other nice places ti stay on the bay ?
Is it still a special place ?

I would also thoroughly recommend Nor Lanka, it isn't quite on the beach but is about a min walk away and is reasonably priced for excellent rooms. www.norlanka.com
Otherwise there are not a huge amount of tourists in Una at the moment, so you could probably turn up and find somewhere to stay on the day if you didn't want to book in advance.
