I want to know if I can go over land and sea from Sri Lanka tot India?? I can't find it anywhere..Otherwise how I can fly cheaply from colombo to the south of india.

Hey, we just flew from Chennai to Colombo via Jetlite airways (www.jetlite.com) for $105 per person round-trip! This was the cheapest option we found to get to Sri Lanka from southern India. Another alternative is to fly KingFisher Airlines from Bangalore for $165 per person round-trip.
Currently, you cannot travel via ferry or overland from India to Sri Lanka. We found this out asking several local travel agents in India and doing some research on the web at each country's Port Authority websites.

Hey There!
Would avoid going sea at all costs. Not sure of the risks but I think too risky!
I flew from Colombo to Trivandrum really cheaply and very quickly. Headed straight to Varkala by tuk-tuk, would avoid taking local bus. Was a really fun adventure getting from South of Sri Lanka to Varkala in half a day.
