Public bus travel

Talalla to Tangalle : bus number 02 / 32 / Mathara- Tangalle bus

Tangalle to Udawalawe : Can't remember the bus number . But you can get a direct bus from Tangalle bus station 60Km (LKR 72 pp)

Udawalawa to Haputhale : Ffrom Udawalawa Junction take a bus towards to COlombo ..Get off from "Palmadulla" ..then take a bus number 99 which going to Badulla. on the way you can get of from Haputhale... ( total journey will be around 3..5 hours with transit and 20 mins bus stop for snacks).

Hi again! I just realized that it makes more sense for me to go from Udawalawe to Ella and then to Haputale and then Dalhousie, so your instructions from Udawalawe are still correct, right? Just that I stay on bus 99 until Ella instead of Haputale. The routemaster site is great for direct routes, but a little confusing for transfers.

So just for other people looking for this same info, I took the following buses:

2/32 Matara-Tangalle bus from Talalla to Tangalle bus station 50LKR

493 Tangalle-Embiliptiya bus from Tangalle to Embiliptiya (67 LKR) and then another bus from Embiliptiya to Udawalawe (can't remember the number) 40LKR

98 (not sure of route) from Udawalawe to Wellawaya (105 LKR) and then bus 206/2 Balaharuwa-Badulla bus from Wellawaya to Ella (60 LKR).

Thank you. Yes, I checked that out already. Unfortunately it travels clockwise, not counter clockwise like I'm traveling.
