So I’m going to Sri Lanka on the 11th I may be there as long as six months so I don’t know when I’ll leave. The cheapest flights out will cost me me 80-180+.

Does anyone know a way around this, a much cheaper option for proof of departure from Sri Lanka or an airline in Asia with a 24 hour full refund cancelation policy?

Air Asia does not refund purchases even if canceled within 24 hours

Normally you can get a refund on more expensive tickets, you can also often change your dates free or for a small charge. I think this is also true for AirAsia more expensive tickets. If not look at scheduled airlines like Sri Lanka or whatever is the national carrier where you are flying in from.

If you are thinking of staying 6 months, you will most likely be doing a couple of visa extensions. You need an onward ticket to get a visa extension.

I wonder if he read my reply?

We are getting more and more of these Facebook cross links (long username with lots of numbers at the end) and most never come back after the first post. I sometimes wonder if they even hang around long enough to to read the reply.
