Hi all

I am in Nuwara Eliya at the moment, i came in from Kandy in 2nd class on the train today and had to stand the whole way as the train was so packed. I believe it is Sri Lankan school holidays so it is busier than usual. Standing doesnt bother me it is just i could not enjoy the views. My understanding is the trip to Ella is very scenic and i know i wont be able to enjoy it / see anything on the train. I asked about first class tickets but was told there are none avaliable for over a week, and i won't get a seat in 2nd class.

Is there any buses that run with reserved seating? If i were to get a tuk tuk or taxi would that be better again? It will be more expensive than i can afford but i dont want to miss out, at least then i can ask the driver to stop if i see a nice view point. Or is the train just the far superior way to get the views?

Thanks all
