Hey Thank you for the help. Few more answers would be helpful.
How long it took to reach back airport ?
because I have 5 hours transit only ( max. excluding boarding hours) will it be sufficient for me to reach Mount-Lavinia by bus in the morning time ?

I presume that poster 2 recommends Mt Lavinia in their website. They seem to have plastered this forum with links to it and I haven't looked at it in case it is a virus scam.

Mt Lavinia is definitely too far for 5 hours. It is the other side of Colombo.

The place that most people go which is near the airport is Negombo. It is about 10 kms away and takes about 20 mins in a tuk tuk. There are plenty of hotels and restaurants, plus a long beach. I don't know about spas, etc. You would have to search yourself for that and try and see if any hotel offers a few hours service.

You don't say what your nationality is, so its abit hard to advise re visas. If you are from a country that is visa free then you won't need a transit visa. Most countries do need a visa of some sort to enter Sri Lanka. I would suggest you check the SL Immigration website.

Finally, will you be able to leave the airport? just because you are changing planes with a wait doesn't mean you can exit the transit area. This could be worth checking out as well.

Thank You Mr.Simon,

I have planned to speak up with Red dot travels they have good day city ride packages in Srilanka.
Being Indian citizen I have to take up the Transit visa for sure which is free of cost for 48 hours.

Cheers.. :)
