I was sorry to discover this week that the London - Bangalore - Colombo service is ending in September. It was a very competitive price and a lot of people had used it. I get the impression there were political reasons for the termination of the service and I believe people with bookings after September are being refunded. So what is the new bargain? Recently it was Sri Lanka Airlines witrh return flights well under £400. Not sure if these are still available now school holidays have started though.

Kuwait Airlines are surely the cheapest from London. We are going in February for £360.

That is a good price Susie - trouble is that these companies seem to do a good offer but for how long? The Air Asia idea is cheap but a long drag. I note you can fly from KL to Colombo for £22. I won't be going for a while so I will be able to watch the market

Pity about Kingfisher - it couldn't last. Any ideas about the best agency to book with from the UK. My usuals are pricing it a bit high right now.
