Hi Manoj,

It is not easy to find a direct bus from Ella to N'Eliya. There is a bus coming from Galle to Nuwara Eliya which goes via Ella. Catch that. Or else get a bus to Bandarawela and then take another one from there to Nuwara Eliya.
But you can find a bus easily from Nuwara Eliya to Colombo.
Also you have the train options.

That depends on the train station. Tickets may be available from 1 hr before.
The train i guess is coming from Badulla and going to Colombo via Nanu Oya. So may be 3 minutes before departure.
But I do not know exactly.
Please ask your hotel or travel agent to inquire.

I took the train from Ella to Nanu Oya (for Nuraya Eliya) about three weeks ago. There are several trains a day; I took one that passed through Ella about 9:30 am. I got to the station 20 minutes prior to departure, bought my ticket and the train arrived pretty much right on time. It stopped about 3 minutes at the station before moving on.

thnx..i worded my question poorly. 1) What i meant was ' say i am boarding the 10 am train from colombo to ella. At what time do they place the train on platform in colombo ( starting point)" . 2) there are how many trains from colombo to ella in a day ?
