Hello

I am traveling to Ella from Kandy and I have a few questions if anyone is able to help at all?

I'm desperately trying to book an observation seat on a train from Kandy to Ella but am struggling to find a website/tour agent who I can do this through (i'm not even sure if this is possible!).

I'm also traveling solo and a little wary of hiking alone. I was wondering if anyone can recommend or know of group hiking tours in Ella? Also I was interested in visiting Lipton or Worlds End and was wondering if there were group tours here also to keep the costs down?

I then would like to book another observation train from Kandy to Haputale and again,. was wondering if I can book this in advance.

Best wishes

Gill

Hi, last year when we came to Sri Lanka we were looking for a travel agency who would organise a day excursion for us, that's when we came across Diethelm Travel. Last time I checked their website they had hiking excursions, and I'm sure if you inquire they will be able to organise any kind of excursions/tour of your liking.

Re the hiking.

If it is a popular thing to do in Ella there will be lots of agencies offering it. Hotels as well.

If there's cash in it there will be plenty of people offering, although you often find most are just agents for one or two operators.
