heading to sri lanka @year end, can ne1 say wthr we shd take us dollors or uk sterling for either the best exchange r8, or the ease of use etc

Take your home currency. If its dollars be aware of a prediction (mine) that the dollar will slide more until it corrects to approximately current levels..

ATMs are a wonderful thing. Why bring currency for anything more than emergencies? There's an ATM at the airport that usually works.
