I'm looking at flights to and from Sri Lanka (from London) returning just before Christmas. Some with Qatar airways show a connecting time in Doha on the return of 35 minutes. This seems to me a bit tight. Has anyone experience of this? Does it work and if we miss the flight how long to the next connexion?
Thanks for your help.

There is a new terminal opened at Doha since I was last there.
Before this you had all the planes lined up near the terminal and were bused to and from the planes. That did not take long in the old ( small ) terminal.
I can't see it being any easier in the new terminal which I believe is much bigger and on the other side of the airport from the old one.
The main problem will be baggage transfer. You would need Olympic sprinters to make that kind of turnround I think!!

Phone the airline and ask what the minimum changeover time is at Doha. Also ask what happens if things go wrong..

35mins to change over is too short by any means.Even if you are in the same terminus. The check in formalities normally close 30mins before boarding.

What about Sri Lanka Airlines? Non-stop.

Thanks for your responses. We're now booked with a more sensible connecting time! Thought about non-stop but one of us gets edgy on longer flights and prefers a break. Looking forward to the trip - no doubt I'll be back with more questions before we go!
