I'll be in Sri Lanka from September 12th until September 26th. I rented a car with 2 friends, without a driver, but now we're getting cold feet and we're thinking about getting a car with a driver.
Can anyone tell me where to find a good driver for a good price? We already planned the rest of our trip, with guesthouses and hostels etc.

Yes there are freelance drivers and travel agents who can offer a driver with a car. Normal price would be 55 - 65 USD per day.
Hi I'm Sri Lankan who used to Live in UK (Sheffield) and two of friends came Sri Lanka for a short stay 2016 may. they stayed in a hotel near Benthota. from there they met a nice driver call 'Chandika' who have a 8 seat good van.
when they went Sigiriya I went with them too,.. So I got the chance to meet him. In my personal experience that guys is very kind and honest ( you have to be careful when u find a driver as they might try to make lots of money from you ) . Not only me my UK friends gave really good comments on him. He will come to go any where you want..also I recommand you to go with a van as there will be 5 people with the driver.
specially with this guy you will be very safe and he will help you to save your money from the dealers and other merchants try to rob uryou money.

Hello Janavan, I arrive to Sri lanka with a girlfriend and I do not mind driving and sharing expenses (I have driven in very complicated countries in the world, Kenya, Uganda, Angola, Mongolia...) so if you'd like to share expenses we will be glad to do so. We are there from the 16th until the 25th.
