Hello. I'll be trying to get from Negombo to Balapitiya. As there doesn't seem to be any direct connection (bus?), I'll have to change in Colombo. From what I can see, I could take a Galle train from Colombo Fort and get off at Balapitiya. The thing is that according to this timetable http://www.eservices.railway.gov.lk/schedule/searchTrain.action?lang=en the trains leave quite late for me. From what I've gleened so far there's a frequently running bus service from around Maharagama station to Galle. The questions are:
1. Do the Express buses from Maharagama stop at Balapitiya?
2. From Colombo Fort (if I arrive by train) the web suggests taxis to Maharagama or the 112 and the 138 buses or a train service from 01:55. Has anyone got any experience with that?
3. Are there any other bus options?
4. Any buses from Negombo to Galle (through Balapitiya)?

Highway Express buses doesn't stop at Balapitiya or No exit point to Blapitiya ,
Therefor don't go to Maharagama or Kaduwela,
get the bus from Colombo fort which goes to Galle or Amabalamgoda & they stop at Balapitiya,
No buses from Negombo to Galle ,
Sandra
Thanks a lot. The maps show Pettah bus station and Colombo Central bus station. Which one should I go to?
If you are looking for Air con. buses along A2 main road should go to Pettah bus station (Bastian Mawatha)& board to line #2 Ambalangoda or Galle bus and exit at Balapitya. It's LKR 200 by a Air con or half of it in non AC (Viking)
Central bus stand is for non AC big viking buses only.
BRgds.
