Arriving on friday (29th nov) - and am on my own for first 10 days as friend has had his trip delayed. Does anyone want to share some costs with me and hire a driver? Wanting to go to kandy and head north from there, as well as poss doing a couple of days walking in or around ella/the knuckles area.
Im a 31 year old male journalist, sports journalist for that matter, so could all too easily be persuaded to take a day in the sunshine at the cricket....
Will be heading back to colombo to meet my mate on the 9th. Unless you are an improvement, in which case Ill leave him on his own for 10 days in order to get a taste of his own medicine.

Am arriving in Sri Lanka on Wednesday 28th November, landing about 1330 local time. Er... have you got your arrival date mixed up?
Had planned to take a taxi from the airport, straight to Kandy. Will be watching all three test matches.

Nice spot Gaz, high above the town and great views down to Kandy Lake. Look out for monkeys though - don't leave anything valuable lying around. It is a steep hike from the town, so try to find a decent 3 wheeler driver nearby and stick with him if you can. That way you can arrange for him to be waiting when you are off to the match.
I hope you two meet up on whichever day!
