adams peak and kithulgala help

hello all

Does anyone know of any decent places in kithulgala to put up and also to do the rafting ? And if adams peak is in season around the 17th, any place there to put up.I cant seem to get much info on these places in the guides.

Hi…….

Rest house manage by Ceylon hotel cooperation at kitulgala idea location to stay . adm’s peak season will be starting from 12th December you have panty of place to stay tere at delhouse . punsisi guest house and wathasala inn is my best places.

hey worldsend, i haven't been to sri lanka yet: my girlfriend and i are planning a trip at the end of december, but we found this spot in kitulgala called rafter's retreat and we've seen some solid reviews.

Also Plantation Hotel in Kitulgale - really nice place and they organise rafting trips there. I did a rafting trip there on my last visit though we arranged it with the rafting shop by the road up river from the town. They were excellent, especially in persuading me to have a go as I can't swim. It was fantastic.

For AP, several guest houses in Dalhousie near start of the climb. The one that was called the Yellow House has changed its name ( can't remember what to) but is well recommended. No problems finding accommodation. I also did AP last time - an amazing experience but very hard work at my age.

Plantation Hotel is real nice. I prefer it over the other two... better value for money. They all do food and rafting tours.

The Yellow House is now called Slightly Chilled Yellow House. Wicked fun place to stay. Awesome area to spend a few days, I went mountain biking all around the lakes region near Adam's Peak... beautiful, friendly people, pretty remote but brilliant photography scenery.

Definitely one of the most under-touristed areas in Lanka.
