Will be travelling in Sri Lanka from december 12th till february 8th (about 8 weeks) and intend to travel all over the island. About this a few questions for (recent) experiences.
• I know I have to extend my visa 30 day ETA visa in Colombo. Anyone (recent) experiencies with that? Which are the best days to go, is there any difference? Will it be more busy around/between X-mas and New Year?
• I will arrive at Colombo Airport. Would it be possible to extend my visa in the first week of my stay (or even next day) or do I have to wait a certain time?
• Read that for both my ETA visa and a visa extension I need a proof of sufficient funds. Will be showing a creditcard like VISA be sufficient for this?
• At last a question about the weather. Read that a the east side it will be rainy season during my visit. Any experiences how bad this will be or for example just rain at a small part of the day? Which part does this affect, just the east or also the north?
