Hey Guys,
Travelling to Sri Lanka for about 6 days. Our flight lands early at around 5:30-6am into Colombo. Looking to include the following in the travel plans

  1. Beaches
  2. Wild Life & Nature(Tea Plantations etc)
  3. Cultural sites

Would like to spend as little time in Colombo as possible, which means about a day max and since i have a late night flight on the final day out of Colombo, i thought of using that day to explore the main city.

Need to know a nice itinerary which would include all the above and the best ways to travel between these places?
Any help would do. Thanks.

With 6 days only, and if you want to experience all the points mentionned above, the only reasonable way to do it in my opinion, is to take a car with a driver, as you dont have the time to do it by public transport. One possible itinerary could be: Airport - Galle (to see the fort) - Tangalle (for a nice beach) - Yala NP (for wildlife) - Ella or Nuwara Elyia for tea plantations and lovely landscapes/scenery - the "cultural triangle" for Sigiriya and other temples and monuments in the area - Colombo. It will be a rushed trip, but Sri Lanka is pretty compact, so you can do a lot in a short time.

I think you can start in inland and reach the beach by the end..
Sigiriya/Dambulla - Minnneriya - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya - Ella and the beaches
When are you planning to travel to SL
pretty sure you have to hire a vehicle for this
cheers
