Memories coming up ! As i read through the posts here, I see that most of the tourists / travelers tends to go northern Pakistan ! I understand that they want to trek and visit the mountain areas but what about city life ? Karachi and the other big cities are always humming with activity ! I remember my first trip around 20 years ago ! Landed in Karachi and it was like "wow" ! It would be great to read a bit about your experience in the cities !

i want to get some information on cycling on KKH. me with my other friend want to cycle through the KKH starting from Abdad.
we will likely be cover 60 - 70 KM. but on the map i have some confusions. From Chilas to Gilgit there is some of distance, that may not be covered in one single day of cycling.
and from Dasu to Chilas the distance is also greater. Any hotels or rest stops on the way? where we can spend a night? or we should arrange the Camps?

I am going to do the Gondogoro La and Snow Lake treks soon and after that I stillI have two weeks to spare (around the 2nd and 3rd weeks of September). I am thinking about doing a couple short and easy treks on my own.
I won't be bringing a tent and a stove so tent/hut rental and meals must be available at that time of the year.
I believe these treks fit my requirements?

I plan to fly into India this winter with a 10 year multiple entry American visa. I would like to cross at Wagah into Pakistan for a 3 week visit and then back to India over land.
Does any one have experience with the 60 day waiting period before re entering India, concerning going to Pakistan by land and getting back in?
Do I need to get any special permits beforehand to do this?

i got pakistan visas that is writting that is "good journey upto " 1/8/2012... and then is writting good for stay 90 days,,so, it mind that i should entry in the country before 1 of august of 2012 and then after entry i can stay 90 days,,so, i can entry 30 of july and then stay for 90 days ?? i am not of sure about it,, and i have plane ticket for 30 of july,, so i will arrive to pakistan in 31 of july,, so, if i entry in 31 of july i can stay 90 days or only one day until 1 of…
