Hello. I am looking to learn some simple phrases to at least be able to communicate with locals and porters on the K2. trek. Would this be Balti. I could not find a phrasebook on it but I did find one for Ladhaki used in Kashmir. I have read that this is practically the same language. Hello. I will be travelling in Pakistan this summer and would like to get the best possible device for communication purposes. I will be in the Punjab area, around Sarghoda to be exact. I have several questions about purchasing a phone for this trip:

My wife and I are planning to travel to Pakistan this July but I need some advice. I want to travel from Lahore to Islamabad, which appears to be fairly easy on a bus. Then from Islamabad to Gilgit, which appears to be a little more difficult. From what I can gather the flights to Gilgit are often delayed by the weather with it being monsoon season.
