Funny you should ask, emmeff. Well, I called the Consulate, was finally able to reach someone in the visa department and he said I'd have to be out of the country by the expiration date. I was very surprised, so I then called another Consulate and an Embassy. I left a message with the visa department at the Embassy. No one called me back. This all happened in one day. So, I e-mailed the original Consulate, was verrrrrry specific in my questioning and this was the reply:

"Dear Sir," (hahahaha!!)

"You will have to travel between March 30, 2011 to June 02, 2011 and stay there for one month after the arrival date."

So, I guess you are right and I can arrive by June 2 and not have to extend the visa unless I want to stay over 30 days. I also want to add that in my e-mail to the Consulate I stated that my visa was granted March 3, so it seems the person responding got that wrong. Not very happy with their "professionalism", to say the least!

You'll have to get use to this. It's a 'design feature' of the consulates of most countries, and of bureaucracies everywhere.

You're welcome and same to you.

What did you mean by, "summers are there"?

Summers are terrible, temperatures rise, in terms of weather and militancy both.

That is my city and I know its nerves.

Ciao,
