I want to cross in to India at Wagah border and stay for one week. I am a UK citizen who will be in Pakistan for a week before crossing to India. I have Pakistan non resident identity card. Following recent changes introduced by Indian government as a UK citizen I should be able to purchase visa on entry to India rather than have to go through laborious visa application process here in UK. But 2 questions :
1. My father was born in Pakistan and so does that mean I cannot buy visa on entry to India and have to go through full application process here in UK ?
2. Even if I can buy visa on entry will thy allow me to do that at Wagah border crossing or is it only at certain entry points ?

Thank you

No, No, No. You are getting it wrong! Its EVOA so you apply for it online BEFORE you arrive and its by air as I read it. When they see that Pakistani ancestry the gobar is going to hit the fan..
