The NOC rule which had been imposed (more then one year ago) on foreign travelers from traveling via Malakand,Lover & Upper Dir to Chitral has been lifted, now foreigners could travel from Islamabad,Rawalpindi & Peshawar to Chitral with out any hassles to Chitral.

Enjoy your trip.

Great news! This has been a huge hassle. Oddly, travel from Chitral to Peshawar/Islamabad has been fine.

K2, then do the travellers need to be escorted by police when getting into Kalasah Valleys?

The so called police escort is still provided in & around Chitral as well in Kalasha valleys.

Hi,

The travelers/tourists to Chitral from Peshawar/Islamabad still need the NOC/permit from home department KPK for traveling on Malakand road, so please arrange it before taking the highway.

Ciao,
