If you have bad luck and this pathogen (plasmodium vivax) will be discovered in your red blood cells in Chitral hospital, the acute treatment is fast and with right medicaments.
But...
Although the MD's here know about, they don't inform you, that a second treatment is necessary for a complete eradication of these plasmodia, which otherwise would remain dormant in your liver.
If not treated with Primaquine you can get relapses of malaria, whenever the plasmodium wants. There must be a special bloodtest (D6PD deficiency) prior to the treatment with Primaquine.
..and this test is not available in Chitral.
The next location should be the Lady Reading hospital in Peshawar.
PS : good thing are (so told me at least the Institute for tropical diseases, Vienna, Austria, there's no settled timeframe to beginn the therapy.

Update :
Unfortunately and for me unbelievable it seems, there is no way to get Primaquin in Pakistan, i even asked at WHO in Islamabad for it. No chance.
I hope, i will have more luck when i'm in India next week.
