Well,KKH is open all year round although Pak-China border (Sost) officially closes on 31st of December every year so its very much open in mid November.

Khunjerab pass generally closes on 30 November-1 May, but depending on the weather could be earlier, you'll be cutting it fine !!

In fact ,the pass closes on 13st of December not 30th of November and open 1st of May.I think its clear now.

Depending on the weather, it has been closed to the public as early as OCT 15, but, weather permitting, generally closes to the public on Nov 30. It could be a couple of weeks either side, but no gaurantees. I would check with the locals in Hunza before heading any further that way myself.

It is weather dependant. The official closing date is 31st of December. If there is bad weather it will close before.

KKH is not open all year round but 31st of December is official closing date, it might get closed for a few days due to bad weather conditions and snowfall at Khunjerab pass but they'd clear it in a few days because the work on KKH is in progress.

Chinese contractors are working on the highway.

Mid November is not very late.
