Hi

I would not mind visiting Pakistan in 2014 or 2015. I am not sure what I want to see. I would get into a tour group. How safe is this? I want to stay as safe as possible. I would not go if there is a travel advisory against visiting Pakistan. It might be a nice visit. I would like to take some landscape pictures.

Thanks

Max

There always been travel advisory against Pakistan so if you stick to travel advisory you 'll never be able to visit Pakistan.

@1 is correct, there are always warnings against visiting Pak. My advice, stay in Gilgit/Baltistan area, dress conservatively behave respectfully and you won't have any problems !

But include Lahore for some Moghul goodies and some of that South Asian frenzy.

as above posters already pointed out, travel adivsories against pakistan have been around for a while. and unfortunately for the people of pakistan, its probably not going to change very soon. so if you are sticking to them, you will probably not visit pakistan any time soon.

which is a shame, because its a really beautiful country, with lovely and very hospitable people. but not at all a country to visit on a tour (as you asked for a tour).

The tragic incident was the only case after 17 years.Still not as many as they get killed in other countries.

There have been tourists attacks, murders, robberies and dissapearances in Nepal for years that hardly get a mention. Tourist deaths in Laos are almost reaching epidemic proportions, even a small Indian state like Goa has more tourist deaths every year than have ever occured in Pakistan.
Strange you might think then, that the F.O. do not issue travel advisories against visiting these places as well !

Thanks for the input, if the British FO advices against travel to a foreign country, I will have to hold off for traveling there. Also according to wikipedia. Antisemitism is rife in Pakistan. Antisemitism is very common among Pakistani Muslims. i cant see going where is so much hate toward Jewish people.
Thanks anyway.
