flights to gilgit or skardu

The reconfirmation is done from the PIA head office Karachi through a phone call,you don't have to personally go to the PIA (local) office.

The PIA fare (Islamabad-Skardu) is about 12000 PKR.

To some extent agree with # 8 about the fares but nowadays one could get the ticket and reconfirmation at the PIA booking offices, that's much easier these days.

Isb gilgit Pia fare is approx 9000 rs.

A friend of mine from Germany flow to Skardu (about two months weeks before) for 11800 Rs.

i have been on the pia website all the way upto just before paying and it still says nothing about non pakistani's not being able to purchase tickets.
if so which companys and how will i get my ticket because i want to fly in and out of islamabad the same day as time is short.if i can get a ticket and as im flying in via dubai can pia there confirm the ticket.

Maybe it not mentioned in PIA website but the fare for foreigners on Skardu,Gilgit & Chitral routes is almost double.

As a foreigner one can purchase the ticket from any PIA office either abroad or in Pakistan.

Just go to the PIA counter to take a chance at the airport if you want fly to Skardu on the same day,you 'd get the seat if there is any available otherwise go to the PIA office in Rawalpindi to get the ticket for the next day.

PIA office at can't confirm the ticket it can only be confirm when you re in Pakistan or if you have some one here in Pakistan to confirm it for you.

Dear steweu, try to make a reservation almost a week back before the departure to Skardu or Gilgit however these days there's too much burden on the flights en route due to uncertainty on KKH.

PIA booking office can reconfirm your flight and seat a day before the departure, they could facilitate you with that .

So please contact the nearest PIA office in your city and get it sorted out .

The weather is usually clear in June & the chances re even better to Skardu because a bigger plane flies to Skardu whereas a small ATR (48 seaters) goes to Gilgit.
