going to pakistan from dec 24th till jan 3rd!!! (reserved plane ticket just need visa)

i know these are pretty basic (silly) questions but just want to make sure:

  • is travel from the airport into the city at night safe? (arrive at 9pm)
  • is public transportation safe?

any other basic transport info is welcome!!!

Its no problem to travel at night (9 pm is not too lat) from the airport to city centers.
Public transport is safe though use a common sense & watch your belongings.

In most major airports they have radio cabs that have their kiosks just outside the arrivals hall. They have fixed rates and are safe and reliable than normal taxis. Best to avail them.

Public transport is safe but do take the usual precautions have a good trip.

Cheers

Hi,

I would recommend using the Radio Cab service which is like personal taxis. They have fixed rate per kilo meter usually. The kiosk are in the airport launge. I would discourage you to take Public Transport. Specially at night and also because they are more for small travelling and not the safest way for strangers or new comers to the city.

Have a safe trip!

Bonjour from Islamabad,

Take a radio cab from the airports to cities, they're safe.

Inside and around the cities try to use the taxis, rickshaws but outside you can use the public buses.

Bon voyage ,
